March 13th. The sign to the keweenaw commons in the MUB. This is where I spend monday and wednesday lunch times. Usually try to find someone I know to sit with so I don’t feel alone.
March 12th. I went shopping a decent amount over break to get some spring clothes (because I obviously didn’t have enough before). Came back some sweet deals!
For March 11th, here is the marta train in atlanta coming to the station. (I always see these pictures so I had to take one while I was there!)
Okay it is time to get caught back up on pictures! Busy end to spring break and a somewhat busy start to school again led to the lag in posting (I have still been taking the pictures, just no time to post). These descriptions will be lacking, but oh well.
To follow the scallops from last time, here is the salad that Matt re-created from Ecco in Atlanta.
Matt made some scallops today for dinner and wanted me to take a picture of them. Figured I would keep trying for the “natural HDR” look. Interesting how you can use HDR in many different ways and it is fun to play with a little. I’m not sure how much I will actually use it in a practical sense, but it keeps me entertained.
People from Facebook already saw this one but I’ll make up for yesterday. I went out to look for the northern lights but they never showed up so I didn’t have a picture! Here is Bailey, my dog, wearing her thundershirt before going on a ride. It works surprisingly well!
I was traveling all day yesterday (well after a nice run in the morning) so I was a bit tired to post yesterday. This is from our trek around Georgia Tech’s campus and this happens to be the Klaus Advanced Computing Building. Sure puts any building to Tech to shame in both architecture, size, and contents inside. Really a great campus down there!
Once again I did some walking around downtown today while Matt was doing his second day of visiting. This is one of the sculptures around the SunTrust plaza downtown and I had to stop because it was way too interesting. Another thing to note is that people here seem to have pretty good taste in expensive cars, and there are plenty of them.
I went wandering around today to see what was around in Atlanta. It was pretty interesting with lots of different types of people. I was really fascinated with everything and had a bast. Not the most interesting city in terms of architecture as a whole but there are some pretty cool details. Here is just one of the buildings that I saw while taking my eyes off of the multitude of interesting cars.
Waking up at 4:50am this morning to catch our 6:45 flight was a feat. We got to Atlanta around 9 and reached our hotel just before 10 and in time for the continental breakfast! After that we got settled and decided to head out to our main attraction for the day, the Georgia Aquarium. Let me just say it is awesome…very fun. Here are two of the, I counted 4, whale sharks they have. These are only about half the size that they will actually get in the wild and they were pretty striking at that size.
After wandering around for a while we came back to the hotel to regroup before dinner. We found a place just 6 minutes walking from here called Ecco, and it was amazing. Everything had a unique taste and it was just a perfect little splurge for the end of the day. Matt is visiting Georgia Tech tomorrow for most of the day so I will be out exploring!

As much as I want to move home to Michigan (Heaven on Earth) …. it’s days like today that make me think I never want...
After sitting home for a few days with no one to talk to but my puppies and the goldfish I’ve decided a few things:
